9/2/15: Skate Night at Semoran Skateway: Come on out to FCE Skate Night at Semoran Skateway! Tuesday, September 8th! 6:30PM-8:30PM. Pre-sale tickets $6; At the door tickets $7. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased this Thursday, Friday, and Tuesday in the PTA office at FCE!

8/27/15: From FCE School Leadership
Dear Parents of Grade 1-5 students,
Please join us for an informative evening regarding your child’s curriculum on Wed. Sept. 2. For your convenience and to accommodate your schedule, there will be 2 sessions from which to choose. Both sessions will be the same information, so if you have students in two different grade levels, you will be able to attend a session for each child. The first session will be from 6:00-6:45 p.m. and the second session will be from 7:00-7:45 p.m.  This will be for grades 1-5 only. There will also be a General PTA meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the auditorium and following that will be our annual Title 1 Informational Meeting. Free Childcare will be provided for PTA members during the General PTA meeting only. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all next Wed. evening.

7/27/15: Tax-Free Back-to-School Shopping: 
Florida's Back-to-School tax-free shopping days have been extended to ten days, August 7-16! Items that will be tax-free include: clothing, footwear, wallets, and bags that costs $100 or less, school supplies that cost $15 or less, and the first $750 of the cost of personal computers and related accessories. 7/23/15: 5th Grade FCAT Science Results: Hard copies of last year's 5th grade students' FCAT Science results are available for pick up in the front office!

5/21/15: End of Year Schedules: 
The school year is quickly coming to a close. Just a quick reminder that, on the last three days, we will be on an early release schedule. Dismissal will begin at 12:50PM on these dates: May 22, 26, 27. Please make arrangements now to have all children picked up prior to 1:30PM. Also, Monday, May 25: SCHOOL CLOSED in observance of Memorial Day.

5/12/15: 5th Grade Recognition Updates:
Please make sure your 5th grade student has returned the permission slip to participate in the 5th Grade Recognition Rehearsal on May 21st. The actual 5th Grade Recognition Event will take place on May 26th at 9:30AM in the Lake Brantley High School Auditorium. Students should dress to impress (dress code enforced)!

5/5/15: Special Announcement from Student Council
: We are pre-selling Owlsome Summer Lollipops for our final event.  They are $1 each. You can write a note to a friend or teacher! Last date to buy is May 15th, and they will be delivered on the 22nd! Proceeds will go to picnic tables and items for the garden area between building 3 and the café! CLICK HERE for the order form!

4/29/15: School Musical: 
Forest City students will present a Spring Musical Event on Tuesday, May 12 at 7pm (family performance) and Tuesday & Wednesday, May 13 at 9am (student performances).
